In March 2024, Cindy finished her last round of chemotherapy for pancreatic cancer. From the shock of her diagnosis to the challenges of Whipple surgery and chemo, and even through continued daily issues like neuropathy, her journey has not been easy.
But through it all, she found strength in her family, friends, and the support of the Project Purple community.
With her daughter, Kali, by her side at every appointment, Cindy faced cancer with courage, trust, and faith in her medical team. Along the way, a community of caregivers and survivors, soups from friends, and the kindness of strangers made all the difference.
Today, Cindy shares her story to inspire others to never give up, to stay connected, and to appreciate every moment. And Kali supports her mom in these efforts while sharing her own perspective as a caregiver.
Project Purple is dedicated to creating more survival stories like Cindy’s through pancreatic cancer research and through its patient aid programs – helping patients fight this disease through financial support and care.
