Guilford Hall Brewery Announces The Cure for Cancer Classic Golf Tournament Benefiting Project Purple

[BALTIMORE, MARYLAND] – Guilford Hall Brewery is thrilled to announce the inaugural Cure for Cancer Classic Golf Tournament, set to take place on April 29, 2024, at Hunt Valley Country Club. This event aims to bring together golf enthusiasts and community members in support of pancreatic cancer patient relief through Project Purple, a non-profit organization dedicated to driving research, raising awareness, and providing aid.

Registration for the tournament is now open, and sponsorship opportunities are available here for businesses and organizations looking to support this impactful cause. With a maximum of 34 teams, participants will have the opportunity to showcase their skills on the green while making a meaningful impact in the fight against pancreatic cancer.

Event Timeline

8:30 AM: Registration & Driving Range Opens, Continental Breakfast
10:00 AM: Shotgun Start
10:00 AM – 2:00 PM: Golf Tournament
3:00 PM: Lunch Reception & Networking

The tournament is held in memory of William Fischer, father of Guilford Hall’s Managing Partner, Jared Fischer, and Distribution Manager, Bradley Fischer. “We’re incredibly grateful for the opportunity to gather in support of relief for individuals and families affected by pancreatic cancer. This cause is close to my heart and I know firsthand that the burden of this illness causes so much hardship, and Project Purple is dedicated to lessening the weight of that burden. This tournament will promote awareness, foster hope, and most importantly contribute to tangible change,” said Jared Fischer.

In addition to the golf tournament, participants and attendees can look forward to a delicious continental breakfast before hitting the course, as well as a lunch reception with networking opportunities following the tournament.

Proceeds from the Cure for Cancer Classic Golf Tournament will benefit Project Purple, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of individuals and families affected by pancreatic cancer through funding early detection and curative treatment research in addition to patient financial aid services.
