Project Purple Podcast Episode 250 – Surviving Pancreatic Cancer with David A. Sabio

Meet David Sabio, a medical illustrator from Garner, North Carolina, who battled with undiagnosed symptoms for years. Despite seeking medical care and undergoing numerous tests, his condition remained a mystery. Discouraged, he decided to give up on finding a diagnosis for several years. However, in late 2020, his symptoms worsened, and medical professionals struggled to pinpoint the cause. Feeling like a burden, David’s wife encouraged him to persevere, leading to his diagnosis of pancreatic cancer at the age of 48 in early 2021.

In this week’s episode, David shares his journey, discussing his treatment and how he managed to tend to his large garden while undergoing twelve rounds of chemotherapy. Join us to learn more about his inspiring story and treatment.
